Here's a little info on the scheduled maintenance of our IaaS platform from September the 21th 07.00 to the 22th 22.00
What's the maintenance about? We will update the software on our Nutanix platform, Cluster 01 and 05 between Saturday the 21th 07.00 and Sunday the 22th 22.00 of September. If you want a list of your customers and Virtual Machines located on Cluster 01 and 05, please get in touch with us at support@cloudfactory.dk.
Risk assessment: According to our evaluation, the risk is low. Nutanix fully automates the upgrade, and we are following the procedures from Nutanix. Release notes and compatibility is checked and is approved. The software upgrade was tested OK on a test platform.
Impact: When the upgrade starts, 1 cluster node at a time will be drained, and the running Virtual Machines will be moved to another host. VM’s are moving around between hosts daily, there is no reason to think this will be noticeable. Estimated downtime: none
Fallback plan: During the upgrade, only 1 cluster node is offline at a time and if that node experiences a failure, the upgrade process will halt automatically. In such an event, Nutanix support will be engaged to address the issue.
